Clay Creatures Stop-Motion Animation — Sesame Workshop

Creative Direction, Stop-Motion Animation, Set Design, Narrative Development

Led the development and production of a stop-motion animated video for Sesame Workshop, creating an engaging, educational, and heartwarming experience for children. Drawing on my animation background, I pitched the concept to Sesame Street, blending classic childhood inspiration with hands-on learning and storytelling.

Developed the concept, cast six children, and directed a hands-on clay workshop where participants learned basic pinch pot techniques and created their own unique creatures. Captured their stories on film, which were then woven into the animation narrative.

Built the sets, managed cameras and technical production, and animated the clay characters with a small team of three, bringing each child’s design to life in stop-motion. Oversaw every aspect of production, from concept through animation, ensuring the project was both educational and creatively engaging.

The final video delighted both the audience and participants, who were thrilled to see their own creations come to life. The project was celebrated for its innovative integration of real-world interaction, storytelling, and handcrafted animation, demonstrating the power of immersive, human-centered creative experiences.
